Here’s the box cover, board, and money from Parker Brothers' Payday (1975). Avid thrifters in the U.S. will likely recognize this ubiquitous board game, though the original version is getting harder to find, replaced by less charming 80s and 90s redesigns. I love the John Alcorn-inspired illustrations but I’m sharing this mainly for the bold Milton Glaser-style shaded lettering. This may even be a stripped-down version of his Baby Fat typeface. Unfortunately, the designer and illustrator are not credited, so their identities remain a mystery.
